Are you looking for a fun and easy Valentine’s day treat for your upcoming Gal-entines, neighborhood gifts or school party? Well look no further! This easy and delicious recipe comes together in the blink of an eye and is not only cute but also simply scrumptious.

If you’re anything like me, there is just something about a good old handful of puppy chow that is so nostalgic and brings back such fond childhood memories.
For me, puppy chow always makes me think of one of my childhood friends, Hope, who would ALWAYS suggest making puppy chow for just about any occasion… girl’s nights, lake trips, snow days, you name it and she was probably either bringing puppy chow or suggesting to the girls that we run to the store to get the ingredients to whip some up. (Hi Hope, if you’re reading this – we are still friends to this day).
However, for this recipe, rather than whipping up a classic “old-fashioned” puppy chow recipe that most would call “classic puppy chow” – we are adding a fun little variation. We are exchanging the normal chocolate for white chocolate and adding in a little flavorful zest by replacing half of the powdered sugar with classic vanilla or white cake mix. This will add a little extra flavor to the mix before stirring in extra sprinkles and/or chocolate candies to really give this recipe a festive feel.
Don’t have sprinkles or candies on hand? No problem! This recipe is just as good without them!
This recipe is sure to have your friends talking, your coworkers asking for the recipe and your partner/family happy. But don’t take my word for it. Grab your ingredients and let’s get to baking! Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Baking!
