Cheers to the new year!

Is it just me or did we just blink and hop from June straight to the New Year? I know I lived it but dang, 2025 really just flew by in the blink of an eye! And while 2025 brought so many joy filled moments – such as marrying my sweet Patrick John (photo above), traveling to some fun places including Tennessee, California and Hawaii, and baking (and inhaling) far more batches of sugary, sweet treats than I care to admit – I am beyond excited to embark on this new year and all of the exciting adventures ahead.
Something that I truly love about the new year is always feeling a sense of possibility and a chance to dream big. It’s a fresh chapter with opportunities that invite us to think bigger, move smarter, and stay intentional with planning and executing plans. As we step into 2026, I am carrying forward the growth, resilience, and insights that I have learned, since starting this account, but elevating it to achieve bigger goals, reach a greater audience and share my passions for baking, while mixing in some fun elements centered around both hosting and toasting. Because life is too short to not cheers our girlfriends, host those occasional dinner parties, and capture the beauty of life’s every day adventures.
Each year, I aim to select a word that I live by that year.
For 2026, my word is INTENTIONAL.
This year, I aim to be intentional about:
- Sharing content both here and on my Instagram page.
- Spending time pouring into relationships that fill my cup.
- Prioritizing my time with people, places, and things that spark joy.
- Saying no when it feels appropriate (without a need to justify).
- And simply sharing the true and real parts of life – not just the picture perfect images we often see online.
I am beyond excited to embark on this new year and share the twelve-month plan that not only will encompass my baking journey but will also allow me to share hosting, toasting and honestly the reality of sometimes just coasting..
May this year and this corner of the internet to be a safe space to share, learn, grow, and create content freely, openly and positively. So, thank you for being here and engaging with my content. Here’s to another year of growth, creation and sugary sweet content.
Cheers and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
