Sharing a DELICIOUS new treat today… STRAWBERRY CAKE MIX COOKIE BARS!
This recipe is easy to whip up and so so good!
Someone once told me that using cake mix or similar pre-made box mixes was cheating.. BUT I am here to tell you that I do not believe that is true. Many of us are BUSY adults with full time careers (either working a 9-5 job or working a 24/7 as a parent, OR BOTH). So when given the opportunity to take a shortcut that will make life so much easier and simultaneously SWEETER.. I say WHY THE HECK NOT?
Baking does NOT need to be hard nor does it need to be time consuming. It is all about the outcome and the finished product matters SO much more than the process to get there. So I say grab that cake mix, gather those ingredients, and get to baking!
These Strawberry Cake Mix Cookie Bars offer a delightful twist on traditional cookie bars, boasting the sweet and fruity flavors of fresh strawberries and the convenience of a cake mix. These bars are incredibly easy to make, requiring just a few simple ingredients and minimal effort. The base of the bars is created using a strawberry cake mix, which provides a burst of vibrant color and delicious strawberry flavor. Mixed with eggs and butter, the cake mix forms a soft and chewy dough that serves as the perfect foundation for the bars.
For added texture and flavor, I fold in white chocolate chips for a creamy sweetness and chopped fresh strawberries for juicy bursts of fruitiness. With their inviting pink hue and enticing aroma, these bars captivate the senses from the moment they emerge from the oven. Their soft and chewy texture, courtesy of the cake mix, provides a comforting bite that melts in your mouth with each indulgent morsel. Once baked to golden perfection, these cookie bars are cut into squares or bars, ready to be enjoyed as a delightful snack or dessert.
Perfect for any occasion, from casual gatherings to special celebrations, Strawberry Cake Mix Cookie Bars are a delightful treat that embodies the essence of summer sweetness all year round. Start by preparing the kitchen and pre-measuring your ingredients.
Set oven to 350 Degrees F.
Grab a 13 X 9 pan and either grease the bottom or line with parchment paper.
Melt your butter in a microwave safe bowl and allow to cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, and melted butter, until well combined. The dough will be sticky!
6. While this is mixing, carefully wash and cut your fresh strawberries.
7. Once the dough is well combined, add the strawberries and 1/4 cup of white chocolate chips to the batter and mix well.
