HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE:
The full recipe is below. However, lets walk through the steps to ensure that you get the perfect outcome every single time.
- We will start by preparing our kitchen.
- In a large, microwave safe bowl, heat treat the cake mix. Microwave the mix in 30 second increments, until the mix has an internal temperature of 165 degrees. (About 90 seconds in total) This is will treat the mix & kill off existing bacteria that may be present.
- In an electric mixer, combine cream cheese and dry cake mix, blend until well combined. Consistency will be super sticky.
- Carefully stir in crushed Oreo cookies, if using.
- Refrigerate for at least one hour (or up to a day), while the mix expands and hardens a bit.
- After refrigeration, you will roll your mixture into balls, size of your choice. I use a 1 1/2 Tablespoon Cookie scoop.
- Once all of your balls are rolled, you will melt the chocolate according to package instructions.
- Next, dip your balls in the chocolate and immediately top with sprinkles.
- Serve and enjoy!
